Real life blows hard, but shoes make it better

I have totally not been showing livejournal my usual love. Mostly because I come home at  night and stare abjectly at the TV in a daze. I now also understand why cops/emergency services/anyone who deals with the public for prolonged periods becomes cynical and has a black sense of humour a mortician would blanch at.

Despite that? I enjoy my job. Weird ass bitch that I am, I find it all interesting. Huh.

But really? Shoes.

I have a night out in December, to which I will wear this dress. With black tights and a small feathery fascinator. But shoes. Red or black? I lean towards red. Thoughts? Pictures of your Christmas outfits? Moar pictures of hot dudes/ladies?

Love the dress!

Red shoes would be great if you have them/don't mind buying them. I probably would wear black because I have lots of black already, and I don't usually buy shoes unless I'll get a lot of chances to wear them.

Unfortunately, on arrival, the dress looks like a sack. But that has only increased my determination to find an awesome one!

I did actually buy red shoes- I really needed new heels (I'm a converse person usually) and most of my clothes are red or black. And they were even on sale, it was awesome.

Nice dress. If you are wearing black tights (and the opaque ones do look good in that photo) I would go for black shoes.

The dress arrived and it's a sack. I am so sadfacing about it- but that's what happens when you're 5'5, have a tummy and actual boobs. I should have known that dress would just hang...

Sounds like my job; obviously most people don't know I'm listening in and daily I hear bizarre/disgusting/abusive stuff. Mostly though, people are completely decent, but prone to frustration and a bit weird. It's surprisingly heartening.
