My Spy! Au is almost finished! This is totally due to Katie nagging me constantly. I am also neaarly finished my reel_band fic, though I have to go check the dates. I was sure it was the 31st of October?

I may have been doing most of my christmas gift shopping on punkypins. Also some shopping for myself, haha! I just bought the cutest perspex unicorn necklace with some giant heart cut-out earrings and too many badges that declare my love of lesbians, emo boys and feminism. Also P!ATD and Bob Bryar. I am tempted to pay to get badges that say Team JWalk, because you get 50 of them for £14. I of course, do not need fifty. Would anyone else want one if I bought them?

Another place that I have dropped too much cash is dollydagger . The polka dot guitar strap is totes on my xmas list, for reals. It will make me feel better about my crappy bass skillz. I can play 'Dance, Dance' now though. I am tempted to start an all girl band that dresses in fifties polka dot and sings songs about how boys are emo whiners and we'll fuck who we want.

Also listening to the new Cobra Starship tracks and that Timbaland (Feat. Fall Out Boy) song. Plus, I am totally loving the Biffy Clyro 'Puzzles' album, especially 'Get Fucked Stud' and 'Who's Got A Match?'

HAPPY YESTERDAY BIRTHDAY always_august! May the William Beckett be with you! Also I am totally nearly finished the Treckett genderswap fic. Totally. Then I may need to write fic where Brendon is a spy and Jon is his bodyguard and Ryan is a total mata hari wannabe who actually works in IT. Gabe can kill you with his pinky, and Patrick is like Q and Pete is his crazy assistant.

Okay so I think Saturday deserves a longer recap, because Travis! Eliot Minor! Pete and Patrick's Love!

I totally wore the tee I bought in Paris with my clan hoodie (also my FANCY KID HOODIE ARRIVED YYAYAYAYAYA!!!) but the best tee was this guy who had a t-shirt which said 'I want 2 have Pete Wentz Babies'.
The queue was massive-luckily one of our friends had waited in line and we kind of cut in with her (I am a bad person).  They should have opened the doors earlier because they had the metal detectors, and they made us all take off our belts and stuff *sigh*.

Then we had no idea who the support band was, because originally it was supposed to be Cobra Starship, but Gabe told always_august at Decaydance that he wouldn't be there. So we were like, hmmm, surprise! It was Eliot Minor, who were actually pretty awesome. Plus we managed to be in the short girls' corner RIGHT AT THE FRONT.  So Eliot Minor, alalala, I may buy their album or something.

Then it was totally roasting, blergh, and we waited another 45 minutes or so for FOB to come out. Then they did and it was totally worth it, because PATRICK, OKAY.  He was wearing that black jacket again, the one he wore in Paris and at Live Earth and I do not know how he did it because fuck it was hot.

Pete flattered us a lot- told us he loved our accents and that Scotland always had the best European crowds (bands always tell us that, but a) they probably say it everywhere and b) we are pretty awesome). He slagged off George Bush and was unaware of our change in prime Minister. He offered us David Beckham back because he sort of sucks and doesn't play football, but misinterpreted our boos when we booed Beckham. We don't want him back, okay, keep him. He told us to 'follow the asshole American round in a circle, kind of like Tony Blair does to George Bush'. Tony Blair isn't Prime Minister anymore, Pete. ILU anyway, but if you're going to get all political, get it right plz.
Then haha, Patrick sang that piece of Akon song, and Pete was like
'I think it's really brave Patrick, that you've said you'll fight for our love.'
I laughed my head off, because Pete was just sort of all about Patrick that night in a way he wasn't in Paris. He was more relaxed, and he did the leaning on Patrick. Patrick has the same expression for Pete my mum does for Kevin- equal parts exasperation, amusement and affection, with an edge of ' I may kill you if the mood strikes'.

So: Decaydance Paris.

First off, me, Nat and Katie started queuing (actually, where the French are concerned, queuing is generally a term best used loosely) about an hour and a half before the thing started. There were two or three people with cameras wandering around- the TAI TV guy, some French journalists and FOB's own  camera guy (Pete said they were filming for the DVD. I was like, DVD, YAYYYYY!). When we finally got in we decided to take our seats on the balcony which were further away but had a perfect view.

Cobra Starship fucking *killed* man, they were amazing, and they got William Beckett and Travis out for Snakes on A Plane. They looked as if they were having a great time as well, which is always better. The Academy Is...were okay *ducks Nat's flying shoes*  but I only like about two of their songs. I have really tried hard to like them but que sera.

Then, OMG GYM CLASS AND PATRICK STUMP. TRAVIS' FRIEND. PATRICK STUMP. He came out wearing a fedora, which he changed out of later, why I dunno, and without a jacket. He looked hot and sounded awesome. I love him. I also love Travis, and I loved it when the Butcher and DIRTY, haha, came out in THEIR BOXERS and danced drunkenly. Also, Butcher pulled down Dirty's shorts which was kind of fucking hilarious.

THEN OMG PANIC! AT THE DISCO AND I DIED. SRSLY I WAS HAVING HAPPY FEELINGS AT THE SIGHT OF SPENCER'S DRUMKIT. BUT WHAT WAS CUTER WAS ZACK SETTING UP THEIR TOWELS. HE TAKES CARE OF HIS BOYS, EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!
They were wearing the same clothes as they did at V-Fest (I hope there's Febreeze on those buses, omg) but RYAN ROSS WAS NOT HOT :-( He had a PONYTAIL ( I am sure, but have no photos. Someone tell me I'm wrong. Please please please) which was held in by a GIANT ORANGE SCRUNCHY. TEARS, I TELL YOU, TEARS.

THEN SPENCER SMITH WHO GETS HIS OWN PARAGRAPH OF NOTHING BUT CAPS WAS THERE AND EVERYTHING WAS AWESOME. AWESOME I TELL YOU. BECAUSE HE SMILED LIKE OMG SO BEAUTIFUL AT BRENDON AND JWALK WHO WERE ALSO THERE AND HOT BUT SPENCER OMG. AND BRENDON KEPT SINGING TO HIS RISER AND HE POINTED AT HIM IN A CUTE WAY AND STUFF. PLUS SPENCER+TIGHT BLACK SHIRT= ORGASM.

Ahem. ANYWAY, the new songs.  I, along with Katie, was ambivalent about 'Nine In The Afternoon'. They played it really well, but it made me really scared of what might come next. What next, songs about SUNSHINE?!!  It actually reminded me of Take That's new song, may I be struck down into hell for typing that. But srsly,  WHAT.

But also? Patrick, Pete and William were watching them from the side, and I think I saw Joe Joe Troh too.

Finally....PATRICK STUMP YAY!

They came out to Thriller, and were generally awesome the whole way through. Having been unimpressed in general with some of the performances vids I've seen (and the fact that four or five seperate people have been to their shows and have been less than impressed-people I trust mind you) I was UTTERLY BLOWN AWAY.
So the condensed cute: they did the cute eye contact 'no-one wants to see us together' song (but not the fanfic bit they did at london, haha) and covered 'Beat It' plus a bit of 'The Power of Love'. Pete got down on his knees in front of Patrick like OMG HE IS A GUITAR GOD AND I DIED A BIT MORE. Then during 'Hum Hallelujah' he leaned on Patrick during the refrain at the end.

I have a lot more to say about it but can't really get it all down.

One more thing: I SEE FALL OUT BOY ON SATURDAY AGAIN IN EDINBURGH. WORDS ARE NOT ENOUGH TO DESCRIBE MY EXCITEMENT.

So I'm still writing my reel_band fic and instead of me kicking its ass it's sort of kicking mine.  Though I have to admit that the scene at the end of Officer and A Gentleman where Spence is going to carry Brendon off just makes me laugh so HARD.  I can just imagine Ryan fucking Ross crying into a hankie and snapping that he's not emotional, it's just his fucking allergies okay he cares not if Spencer and Brendon are going to live a happy gaymo life.

I go now to search for Spencer/Brendon or Frank/Gerard porn I haven't read yet.

It's been really hard to work up the motivation to actually post anything on lj. I've been working on my reel_band fic, watching the movies again.  The thought of Spencer in uniform? It is not a bad one, I will not lie.
I'm also still trying to find a kitten. You would think that in the West of Scotland there would be many kittens, perhaps too many but APPARENTLY NOT. Our local shelter only had four, and they went the second they were up for rehoming. Crazy I tell you. I
 also have at interview for Air Traffic control on August 1st- I have to do more of those practice tests before it.

In better news, last night I went to the HP book launch at the Fort Borders in Glasgow. Me and Katie took the kids ( Rebecca, Arran and Megan) to the book opening and we all got dressed up.  I think there may be pictures at some point. Also, JANE IS COMING TO VISIT TODAY OMG.
Tonight we will eat, drink and watch Dexter, tomorrow the two of us will accompany my family to GOF at the IMAX.
